Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, recently unveiled a new feature for WhatsApp that enables users to save disappearing messages in a chat when they find them particularly important or valuable.
1. Mark Zuckerberg,the founder, and CEO of Meta, just unveiled the ‘Chat Lock’ feature for WhatsApp, which will further protect customers’ most personal communications. With the help of this tool, you may password-protect your most private discussions and save them in a different folder.
2. Dubbed ‘Sender Superpower,’ the ‘Keep In Chat’ feature aims to give users more control over their conversations, aligning with the notion that not all discussions need to be preserved indefinitely, much like in face-to-face interactions.
3. According to WhatsApp, a platform owned by Meta, users now have the freedom to decide whether the messages they send can be saved by others in the chat for later reference. This additional layer of privacy aims to safeguard messages from falling into the wrong hands. The feature allows users to retain texts they may need in the future, granting the sender a unique ‘superpower.’
4. WhatsApp ensures that if a user sends a message, they have the choice to permit or restrict others in the chat from keeping it. The sender will receive a notification when someone saves a message, and they will have the authority to veto the decision if they wish.
